Did you know that on average only 10% of the money made by retail coffee is earned by coffee farmers? Scantrust and our partner Tupelo have created and proposed a system for Coffee Source Information Using Blockchain Networks (COIN) to specifically address this inequality.

We’re honored that the EU Commission has invited us to present our proposal in Brussels today and explain how we can use connected packaging to show the origins of coffee toward creating social benefit, especially for coffee farmers.

We’re presenting alongside several other companies investigating solutions for using blockchain technology to create social good, all of whom are competing for EU support to push social good forward with technology. Click here to see more about the competition and who is also participating.
